Music is ubiquitous. Lately, African music has held the world in a tight grip. Countries like Nigeria have taken the spotlight with songs that charted in various countries of the world, including the United States, Canada, France, and the United Kingdom. It is evident that several Ghanaian musicians have also put up a fight and gained attention all over the world. Artists like Amaarae and Black Sherif continue to make us proud. Here’s a list of the 10 Ghana artists likely to take over this year.

1. GyakieGhanaian Artists To Look Out For In 2023 &Amp; Their Songs, Yours Truly, Articles, March 29, 2024

Ghanaian R&B and Afrofusion singer and songwriter Gyakie has been a radiant figure on the music scene for a few years now. Her “Seed EP” gave her the push she needed to hit the top of the scene and introduce herself to Africa and the world. With hits like “Forever” and more, Gyakie earned a seat at the table. She returned last year with another EP, “My Diary.” It contained the hit song “Something,” which had mild success in the continent. We are all waiting on an album from the queen. This could be the year that happens.

2. CamidohGhanaian Artists To Look Out For In 2023 &Amp; Their Songs, Yours Truly, Articles, March 29, 2024

In a statement to BubbleGumClub, the talented Camidoh said, “I am happy that I am here because I have always wanted to be in a position where I can give people my melodies and heal them with them.” Camidoh emerged in 2019 and has since been on the grind. His energy is crazy, and he never disappoints. Inspired by Akon, Camidoh has made all the right moves and dropped all the best songs. Last year, he melted hearts with “Sugarcane.” We are sure that he’s got a number of tricks to show this year.

3. MoliyGhanaian Artists To Look Out For In 2023 &Amp; Their Songs, Yours Truly, Articles, March 29, 2024

Molly Ama Montgomery, a.k.a Moliy, is every musician’s spirit animal. Okay, maybe not everyone. Her music is influenced by various genres that have helped her hone her sound. Moliy is one female artist swimming in male-infested waters in the new era of music. She introduced herself with sick vocals on the popular Amaarae song “Sad Girlz Luv Money.” And in October last year, he released the project “Honey Doom.” The project housed eight tracks and featured top producers, including Julz, P.Priime, DJ Radix, and famous South African singer Moonchild Sanelly. We have a hunch that she’ll do more this year.

4. Yung DemzGhanaian Artists To Look Out For In 2023 &Amp; Their Songs, Yours Truly, Articles, March 29, 2024

Someone tell Yung Demz we need an album this year. Nicholas Edem Coffie, known professionally as Yung Demz, is on a journey to rule the world. Growing up, the 23-year-old nursed so much love for Kiki Gyan, Richard Bona, Osibisa, and Fela. We hear he shares the same music taste as his father. That’s impressive. He told BubbleGumClub a bit about his sound “I would say the music I make lies between Afro-fusion, pop, and hip hop.” Last year, Yung Demz gifted fans with songs like “Pami,” “Coca-Cola,” “Addicted,” and more. We are anticipating an album from him this year.

Lynx Entertainment star Kuami Eugene had an excellent year in 2022. In the first half of the year, he dropped the song “Take Away” and gained a lot of love for it. He also flooded the airwaves with music and contributed the song “I Feel Nice” to the EMPIRE album “Where We Come From Vol 01”. The project featured contributions from various African artists, including Fireboy DML, KiDi, Olamide, and more. Kuami Eugene also released the song “Single” and joined Victor J Sefo in the song “Forever.” Those moves he made in the past year prove that he’s got more coming this year.

6. AmaaraeGhanaian Artists To Look Out For In 2023 &Amp; Their Songs, Yours Truly, Articles, March 29, 2024

We like to call her the Queen of Whispers. Amaarae was everywhere last year, and the world could not get enough of her. The “Sad Girlz Luv Money” star also dominated a better part of the year with the 2021 release. She also snagged a place in Nigerian Afrobeats Queen Tiwa Savage’s song “Tales By Moonlight.” Teaming up with Marvel, the famous singer contributed the song “A Body, A Coffin” to the promotional EP “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” It’s been a while since she dropped her debut album; maybe this year will usher in a sophomore project.

7. Daddy Lumba

The king continues to reign. If you’ve been wondering why it seems Daddy Lumba has been on the news a lot since last year, it’s because he decided to return to the scene and take back all the spotlight. We hear he “corrected” a fan while performing over the holidays. Daddy Lumba’s return to the scene last year saw the release of the song “Rise Up And Shine, Black Stars” with OD4 in January and “Ofon Na Edi Asem Fo” in late December. It’s almost seven years since he dropped a project. Let’s hope this year is the year he returns to the Official Albums Charts.

She has amassed a loyal fan base, ready to follow her anywhere. Wendy also dominated 2022 with her first release for the year, “Survivor.” The song racked up an impressive 2.8 million streams on Spotify alone.
