Reports about the Biden Administration planning on funding the distribution of smoking kits has been making the rounds and 50 Cent cannot keep calm.
On Tuesday, it was reported that the Biden Administration was planning on funding the distribution of safe smoking kits to curb substance abuse. The news quickly got misconstrued, with conservative media outlets championing the cause and reporting that Biden’s Administration was supporting the distribution of crack pipes as a way to push racial equality.
The misconstrued story became more popular, as expected, and media houses such as The Shade Room posted the misinformation on their Instagram page, garnering multiple negative reactions. 50 Cent wasn’t left out of the action, as he reacted to the misinformation, posting his response on his Instagram page.
“OK, I don’t understand what’s going on now,” 50 wrote, posting a screenshot of a headline from the Daily Mail. “Let’s just give them some crack everybody loves CRACK. SMH.”
Health and Human Services secretary, Xavier Becerra, on Wednesday, stated that the rampant misinformation is spreading all over the internet. “HHS and ONDCP are focused on using our resources smartly to reduce harm and save lives. Accordingly, no federal funding will be used directly or through subsequent reimbursement of grantees to put pipes in safe smoking kits.”
