50 Cent Says Snoop Dogg ‘Murder Was the Case’ Series Is No Longer In Production At Starz

Rap star and TV producer 50 Cent says Snoop Dogg’s “Murder Was The Case” series is no longer in production at Starz.

In December 2021, it was announced that Fif and Snoop were teaming up for a new scripted series that will explore the story of Snoop Dogg’s murder trial. According to a report by Deadline, 50 was tapped by Starz to executive produce the series with the working title “A Moment In Time: Murder Was The Case”.

A recently shared now-deleted tweet by Fif reveals that the series is no longer in the works. It seems things did not work out, and we have no idea why. The “In Da Club” star shared on Saturday that it is no longer in production at Starz. He wrote, “I give them the alley-oop, they drop the damn ball” and shared his hopes that Snoop would tell his story.

In December, after 50 was announced as the series’ executive producer, he called it “an incredible story”. He continued, “Snoop had the biggest album in the country and was fighting for his freedom in the courtroom. The only place to go on this incredible ride is with G-Unit Film & Television. I’m excited to be working with Snoop to bring it to television.” Fif also revealed that he was excited to tell the story finally.
