A Frustrated Kanye West Throws Mic. Following Sound Malfunction During ‘Donda 2’ Listening Party

Kanye West held his Donda 2 listening party at Miami’s LoanDepot Park on last night, February 22, but totally was not having it with his microphone!

The first half of the event went relatively well, devoid of glitches, but not so much can be said for the second half, which was almost messed up by technical difficulties that clearly proved to be too much for Ye to handle. While the rapper revisited some of the original Donda tracks which include “Hurricanes” featuring Lil Baby and The Weeknd and “Jail” with DaBaby and Marilyn Manson, the sound began to get out of character, leaving a frustrated Kanye throwing his mic on the ground.

Losing no time, and as expected, jokes began to circulate on Twitter almost, with many alleging that Kanye forgot his lyrics, while others were just betting on the number of crew-staff members that were going to lose their jobs following the sound malfunction.

“Kanye just fired all these mfs,” tweeted a fan, alongside the names of the sound designer, playback engineer, front of house engineer, system engineer, monitor engineer and piano technicians.

As if the turbulence never happened, the Donda 2 listening party still ended up going as planned, with many special guests coming up at the event to deliver their various contributions to the Donda experience.
