A Suspected Audio Recording Of August Alsina Confronting Tory Lanez Appears Online

More information about the confrontation between August Alsina and Tory Lanez is coming to light. Following Tory’s denial that he had assaulted August, the “Fall Back In Love Comedy & Music Jam” tour, he claimed that he had been in the studio after concluding his set. Tory’s first assertion was refuted earlier this week when video of the Canadian rapper attempting to congratulate the “I Luv This Sh*t” singer circulated online.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office will reportedly look into the incident after video emerged online showing August snubbing Tory. The in question video was silent, but on Tuesday (September 20), purported audio of the incident started to circulate online. Fans believe August Alsina to be the man speaking in the audio clip, which features him confronting someone and saying, “I hate when ni***s don’t keep the same energy. Why did you speak on my business online?”

Before the excerpt is through, the other individual in the tape keeps asking, “What energy?” The audio’s legitimacy has not been confirmed by August or Tory.

After the incident, Tory was kicked from the “Fall Back In Love” tour, and his involvement in the assault will be “thoroughly examined.” In a statement to Pitchfork, the district attorney’s office said, “We are aware of the allegations that the defendant attacked artist August Alsina and are investigating these claims.”
