According To Nick Cannon, He Will “Never Have A Love” Like He Had With His Ex-Wife Mariah Carey

Nick Cannon is thinking back on his marriage to Mariah Carey, his ex-wife.

“That’s my fantasy love. That’s somebody I will always love,” Cannon gushed, referring to Carey while he spoke on The Hot Tee Talk Show from The Shade Room this week. “I will never have a love like I had with Mariah. If I had the opportunity, if it could be the way that it was, I’m there.”

“Always be my baby!” Cannon concluded, quoting the famous Carey song from 1995 that bears the same name. Cannon’s remarks follow the release of his most recent song, “Alone,” in February. The song seemed to be a love letter to Carey because it sampled her 1990 single, “Love Takes Time.”

Sharing the song on Twitter, Cannon wrote in the post, “This is for anybody else who is #ALONE on Valentines Day… I had to come Raw from the heart on this one. #Broken #Shattered #Toxic #RAW&B #Alone.” In a press release for the song, Cannon called it “an ode to Mariah Carey,” and the lyrics include several references to his friendship with the legendary singer.

Despite getting married in 2008, Cannon and Carey eventually divorced in 2016. Monroe and Moroccan, twins aged 11 years old, are shared by the couple.
