The Afro-pop musician has revealed the title of his second single of the year. Adekunle Kosoko, better known by his stage name Adekunle Gold, is a Nigerian Afrofusion singer, songwriter, composer, and performer who recently revealed the release date and a preview of his new song, “Tio Tequila.”
The 36-year-old singer, who just signed a deal with the American multi-national music recording company Def Jam, introduced the deal with a new track with street-hop singer Zinoleesky called “Party No Dey Stop,,” which has since grown to be one of the most sought-after club bangers of the year.
Many of his followers were perplexed as to what might have driven the father of one to alter things to a change in his musical style. But Adekunle Gold looks to have hit Gold when he ditched his “old self,” transitioning from a traditional highlife performer to a more modern pop musician. And now, Gold has notified his followers that a new album is coming as he gives them “Tio Tequila.”
After announcing that his second single for 2023, “Tio Tequila,” will be released on May 25, AG Baby is reportedly straddling that line as he prepares to release his fifth studio album under his new management company later this year. The father of one not only announced the album’s release date and provided a sneak preview of the music.
