Adele Launches Her Postponed Las Vegas Residency

As she began the first night of her postponed run, Adele gushed about how “perfect” and “looked just like how I imagined” her Las Vegas residency show would be. As she launched the performance at the Colosseum venue at the Caesars Palace hotel, the singer broke down in tears as she expressed gratitude to her fans for “coming back to me.” As she entered the stage, she was greeted by a standing ovation but claimed that she should be the one giving it.

“Thank you so much for coming back to me,” she told her audience. “It looks just like I imagined it would. It’s just perfect, thank you.”

“I don’t get to get off stage for about 50 minutes so I’m going to have [a] shitty face of streaked makeup for the whole first part of the show,” Adele added in her signature lighthearted tone.

Before beginning the first song of the evening, a performance of her 2015 number-one hit Hello, the singer said that the night “started small” and was met with another standing ovation.

Adele performed a variety of intense and moving songs from her four studio albums throughout the evening, most of which were accompanied by breathtaking visuals. Easy On Me, her second number-one single, came after Hello. I Drink Wine, Oh My God, and Cry Your Heart Out were among the other tracks on her most recent album, 30, which won a Brit Award.
