Adidas “Don’t Want No Smoke,” Says Kanye West In Angry Instagram Post

Kanye West is still waging war against Adidas. The DONDA star has spent the whole week launching a barrage of venomous Instagram posts against the streetwear company and its entire employees for allegedly ripping off his Yeezy brand’s designs and profiting from them. On Saturday, September 3, Ye launched his most recent tirade against Adidas, focusing on Daniel Cherry III, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company.

“VENTURE CAPITALIST WHO’S ONLY ADVENTURE IS CAPITALISM. CANT CREATE SO THEY TRY TO OUT COUNT THE CREATIVES,” he wrote, adding “I GUARANTEE YOU’LL HAVE TO RELOCATE BEFORE I’M LEGALLY FINISHED WITH YOU.” But the scathing tirade didn’t stop there. On Tuesday, September 6, Kanye focused his vocal criticism of the company, saying,  “I COULD HEAR THE JOY IN MY TEAMS VOICES TODAY. ADIDAS DON’T WANT NO MORE SMOKE. THE MOVIE CREDIT’S ARE ROLLING. THIS WAR WASN’T ABOUT MONEY.”

The Grammy Award-winning musician sent a warning to his upcoming victim before calling it a night. “Now it’s time for Gap,” he wrote. He then added a note from his team that read: “Dear Ye, Your legal team recommends that we refrain from posting anything on Gap for another 10 days.” When it comes to openly guarding his brands, Kanye typically does it alone.
