Aespa’s Debút Japan Performance Attracted 40,000 Spectators

Girl group aespa had their debut showcase in Japan on August 6 and 7, dubbed “aespa JAPAN PREMIUM SHOWCASE 2022SYNK,” at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Japan. Out of the 920,000 participants in the ticket applications, aespa met a total of 40,000 supporters. Aespa initially connected with domestic fans at their first fan meet in Korea.

The hit songs “Black Mamba,” “Next Level,” “Savage,” “Girls,” “Life’s Too Short,” and “Illusion,” as well as b-sides like “aenergy,” “Lucid Dream,” and “YEPPI YEPPI,” were all performed by aespa during this showcase.

During the course of the showcase, aespa said, “This is our first event in Japan, and we are glad to be able to show you stages like this. We also want to continue sharing happy moments like this with you all in the future. Thank you for the great memories today, and there will be many opportunities for us to meet you in the future, so please continue support us a lot!”

The band aespa, which consists of the four members Karina, Winter, Giselle, and NingNing, made their debut in 2020 with the single “Black Mamba.” Its most recent EP, “Girls,” which was released on July 8, broke a record for a K-pop girl group by selling over 1.4 million copies in the first week.
