After Raising Questions, Soulja Boy Claims He Doesn’t Have Monkeypox

Soulja Boy mistakenly misled his fans into thinking he had monkeypox. Following what seemed to be a suggestion that he had it in his tweet and Instagram Story, the rapper was obliged to clarify his social media remarks.

The rapper, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, wrote the word “monkeypox” on his Instagram Story and Twitter account on Monday, August 8. Responding to his tweet, one person wrote, “First rapper wit money pox.” In reply, another wrote, “Lol. You weren’t the first person to get it. Sit yo a** down.”

Later, Soulja went on his Story again to state a denial. “If anybody took my post wrong, no I do not have the monkeypox,” he said to his followers in a video clip. Assuring that he’s “all good,” he said that the posts he wrote were just because a state of emergency had been declared and he wanted to write on the subject.

Later, Soulja added the words “My bad” to The Shade Room’s Instagram post on his denial. Putting aside the health issues, Soulja recently got into a fight with YouTube personality Charleston White.

Charleston and the controversial star engaged in a social media back-and-forth after the singer sprayed mace on the rapper during their encounter in Miami last month.
