After Signing A Contract With Mase, Fivio Foreign Claims To Have Received A $5,000 Advance

In a podcast interview with Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Fivio Foreign disclosed that his contract with Mase’s RichFish label included a $5,000 advance. Mase’s interest was piqued in 2019 by Fivio when he heard the song “Blixky Inna Box” by Jay Dee and Dee Savv.

The Brooklyn native claimed that without the assistance of a lawyer, he “just signed the shit, immediately” when given the documents. “The n***a that brought me to him, he was like, ‘Yo, man. Just sign that shit, You buggin,’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, read it.’ He’s like, ‘Alright, just sign it. It’s good.’ So, I just signed it,” stated Fivio before admitting his advance was merely $5,000, which confused host Wallo267 a little.

“That shit hit,” he said. “I thought that shit was going to last until whenever it was going to last. That shit ain’t last two weeks.” Fivio continued by praising Mase’s industry acumen and giving him credit for passing it on to him, but Wallo wasn’t believing it.

The meager advance made to Fivio comes two years after Mase publicly accused Diddy of turning down a $2 million offer to repurchase his publishing, which was purportedly purchased for $20,000 in 1996. In an interview with Rap Radar’s Cigar Talk, 50 Cent claimed that Mase was the owner of the publication rights to Fivio, invoking his involvement in their conflict.
