As Wizkid Unfollows Everyone On Instagram, Worries Arise

Nigerian Afrobeats musician, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, recently unfollowed everyone on Instagram, including his industry friends and colleagues. On his verified Instagram profile, Wizkid, who just dropped his fifth studio album, “More Love, Less Ego,” started unfollowing people and didn’t stop till the number came down to zero.

Following the release of More Love, Less Ego, the “Essence” crooner revealed the name of his sixth studio album, “SeiLess,” via Instagram stories. Some of Wizkid’s contemporaries in the entertainment business, like Tems, Tiwa Savage, Burnaboy, Ayra Starr, and even his manager and baby mama, Jada P, have been affected by this recent action.

The singer’s most recent stunt has drawn conflicting responses from online users. While some criticized the singer for his choice, others asserted that he was actually big enough to unfollow everyone on Instagram because he probably had his personal reasons for doing so. Wizkid has 31 Instagram posts as of the time this writing, has a following of 15.9 million persons, and 0 followers.

In other news, Wizkid has scheduled his London Stadium performance, which is a stop on his “More Love, Less Ego” tour, for June 1, 2023. The megastar will perform in the 80,000-seat venue, which is now the home of premier league team West Ham United, making him the first African to do so.
