Asake Amplifies Afrobeats Scene: Announces Sophomore Album ‘Work Of Art’

Singer Unveils New 'Amapiano' Single and Announces Upcoming Album 'Work Of Art'

Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Asake, is once again making headlines with the announcement of his upcoming album, ‘Work Of Art’. This announcement comes after the artist’s stellar debut in September 2022, with the album ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’. Asake’s first album was greeted with widespread acclaim, featuring hit tracks like “Sungba,” “Peace Be Unto You (PBUY),” “Terminator,” and “Organise”. The album was even touted by some as the Afrobeats album of the year.

However, Asake is not one to rest on his laurels. The singer-songwriter has been hard at work, as he recently unveiled a new single titled “Amapiano”, in collaboration with his record label boss and respected Afrobeats singer, Olamide. This high-energy track is just a taste of what’s to come on Asake’s second album, ‘Work Of Art’.

The forthcoming album, set to release on June 15, 2023, boasts an impressive 14 tracks. It includes earlier hits “2:30”, “Yoga”, and the recently released “Amapiano”. The album artwork, featuring Asake joyously posed in front of two paintings, hints at a deeper exploration of his artistry.

Even though Asake is already establishing a name for himself in the music industry, he has bigger dreams. He is set to join the ranks of Nigerian artists who have sold out the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena, with tickets for his show currently on sale.

With a chart-topping single, a sold-out concert, and a highly-anticipated album, Asake is determined to leave his mark on the Afrobeats scene. Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Work Of Art’, ready to see Asake’s artistry evolve and flourish.
