Ayra Starr Cries Out After Being Stuck In Manchester Elevator; Goes “Live”

Ayra Starr, a leading light in the world of afrobeats in the present day, recently experienced an unexpected setback while in Manchester. Ayra Starr live-streamed the entire situation on Instagram after getting stranded in an elevator while attempting to get to a concert at Eccles’ Lighthouse Venue.

Ayra Starr, best known for her famous song “Rush,” was headed to the Manchester event when it was unfortunately interrupted. Her crew and she were in an elevator when it abruptly stopped moving, leaving them unable to exit. Video of the event shows a visibly upset Ayra Starr moving the camera to reveal the mob of people crammed inside the elevator as they struggled to find a way out.

Ayra Starr, however, was not deterred, and she was able to lighten the situation by playfully joking around and amusing everyone who was trapped in the elevator. Even Popcaan, a Jamaican artist, was referenced by Ayra as having promised to storm the venue and save the ensemble. Unfortunately, the incident was enough to cause Ayra Starr to miss the concert in the UK, even though assistance ultimately showed up later.

Ayra Starr eventually decided to postpone her show hours after her experience. Taking to her socials, she posted,

Manchester🤍, I’ve been here to give you a great show but organizational delays held us back unfortunately. I’ll be back on the 19th and I promise you a blast! I’m sorry for the inconvenience, guys! I love you all so much!❤️
