Back And Better: Quavo Announces Return With New Single ‘Honey Bun’

The Migos rapper will officially return on Friday with the release of his brand-new song, “Honey Bun.” He posted an image of himself in black and white on the set of what appears to be a music video Instagram. Indeed, a new era for Quavo is about to begin.

He wrote “Honey•Bun 🍯 Friday!” in his caption alongside the hashtag #ForTake🚀. However, rumors say that “Honey Bun” won’t be a homage to Takeoff and will instead be Quavo’s official comeback.

Following Takeoff’s passing, Quavo recorded some memorial songs, including “Without You,” which he performed at the Grammy Awards, and “Greatness,” on which he confirmed that Migos was no longer a group.

After being fatally shot outside a Houston bowling alley in November, Quavo has continued representing his late nephew. He’s been using the hashtag #ForTake as he gears up for his next solo album, his first since 2018’s “Quavo Huncho.”

Before Takeoff’s murder, the Migos gang had already made arrangements to separate, and Quavo and Take had formed their alliance, resulting in just one project that was released. In October, he and Takeoff released their collaborative album “Only Built for Infinity Links.”

Meanwhile, Offset is also moving forward with his solo album, which was delayed after Takeoff’s death. A posthumous verse from Takeoff and Icewear Vezzo are both on a new song he recently gave a preview of.
