Each year, America’s former president Barack Obama publishes his summer playlist, comprising songs he’s listened to that had a significant impact on him. He’s been fairly consistent with that.
This year was no exception. Not even the pandemic could keep p e of America’s most charismatic leaders from sharing his playlist for the summer.
The first song on the list he shared was Beyoncé’s latest offering, “Break My Soul. Other songs include “Vibe Out” by Tems, “Split/ While Time” by Lil Yachty, “Last Last” by Burna Boy, “Too Good” by Drake and Rihanna, “Bliss” by Amber Mark, “Magic” by Vince Staples and Mustard, and “Die Hard” by Kendrick Lamar.
The list might not mean much to global superstars, and they might not even share it, but it means a lot to musicians who are not so famous or who are still trying to find their way out there.
Still, for many music lovers, the release of the playlist is an opportunity to discover the musicians and the songs that have snapped the former president’s attention.
It remains to be seen who and who will make the playlist next summer. We might bring you all the details. So stay tuned if you please.
