Barbra Streisand Set To Release Her Debut Memoir

“My Name is Barbra,” the autobiography of iconic singer, actress, director, and producer Barbra Streisand, will be released on November 7, 2023, by Penguin Random House imprint Viking. On Tuesday, The Penguin Group officially declared the book to be “engrossing and delightful.” Numerous books have been written on the artist, who is now 80 years old, but this will be the first to use her own words.

By all accounts, there are a lot of words. According to pre-order listings, it contains 1,040 pages. It’s appropriate for a woman whose historic career spanned six decades and earned her two Oscars, five Emmys, ten Grammys, eleven Golden Globes, a Tony, and countless other honors. One of the most known voices in the history of Pop music, Streisand is one of the select group of EGOT winners.

She has received 46 Grammy nominations. Her breakthrough role as Fanny Brice in the 1968 film “Funny Girl” earned her the Best Actress Oscar, giving her first Oscar. She then won the Best Original Song Academy Award for “Evergreen,” the theme from the film “A Star Is Born,” being the first female composer to do so.

Streisand will recount her life in “My Name Is Barbra,” starting with her early years in Brooklyn, her first performances in New York nightclubs, and the years that followed, during which she achieved a long list of accomplishments across all art forms.
