Before Releasing The “My Side” EP, According To DaniLeigh, She Sent DaBaby Two Songs

She poured her heart out on her most recent EP, but DaniLeigh made sure to message DaBaby a few times about it before the record was made public. The Def Jam artist released her My Side EP a few weeks ago, which essentially recounted her breakup with DaBaby. The world followed the ups and downs of their relationship in real time—at least, what was disclosed on social media—which led to the ex-couple becoming popular multiple times.

Dani and Baby have continued to co-parent despite speculations that this will turn into a legal matter. DaniLeigh recently went to Big Boy’s Neighborhood in Los Angeles, and in a video clip that was posted online, she said that she did get in touch with DaBaby before venting her frustrations on My Side.

“I played him two records,” she said. “‘Cause I felt like I kinda had to.” Big Boy enquired as to which tracks were previewed. “‘Cap’ and ‘Call Me Out My Name,’ ’cause those are the most deepest ones…’Cap’ I’m angry.” As for the reply from DaBaby, DaniLeigh remarked, “I mean, he’s not a softy so he kinda like, laughed when I was like, ‘Keep your ho ass where you at.’ You know what I mean?”
