Before The Arrival Of His New Album, Stormzy Declares His Intention To Take The Christmas Number One Spot: “I’ve Got Something Really Special”
According to Stormzy, he has written a song deserving of this year’s Christmas Number One. The rapper, whose third studio album, “This Is What I Mean,” is scheduled to be released on November 25 by 0207 Def Jam, claimed in a recent interview that one of the album’s songs would be good enough to top the UK holiday charts.
Stormzy responded to Magic Radio’s query about whether his upcoming album would contain a holiday tune that could top the charts by saying: “Well, lo and behold I’ve got something really special for you guys and do you know why I’m so proud? Because I made this song with love… I just made this song, and it came from the most pure place, I wrote it with an amazing artist. A really extremely gifted artist called Debbie and we made this beautiful, beautiful song, and I genuinely think that…I don’t want to jinx it, but I swear to you, I can’t wait for you guys to hear it.”
The rapper’s most recent track, “Hide & Seek,” served as a preview of his next album. Additionally, he recently discussed the collaborative recording process for the album on Osea Island in the Blackwater Estuary close to Maldon, Essex.
