Gospel Star Mercy Chinwo Leaves EeZee Concepts Over Contract Disagreements
According to reports, Ezekiel Thankgod Onyedikachukwu, the label’s owner, and gospel singer Mercy Chinwo had a contract dispute that caused Chinwo to leave her record label, EeZee Concepts.
On Instagram, the 32-year-old singer posted a cryptic message that read:
“God protect us from people who are being strategic with us while we are being genuine with them.”
Joepraize and Chioma Jesus, two other gospel musicians, supported Mercy in the comments. After winning Nigerian Idol season two in 2012, Mercy, who recently married Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa of the Water Brooks Church in Port Harcourt. was signed by EeZee Concepts in 2017. 2018 saw her breakthrough with the single “Excess Love.” The label has also signed Judikay, Chidinma Ekile, Minister GUC, Chris Morgan, and Tobi Godwin as gospel acts. 
According to rumors, Mercy Chinwo and the label owner fell out after she signed a fictitious deal with EeZee Concepts. As a result, all transactions have been revoked, and Mercy will continue as an independent artiste. It is also worthy of note that Mercy has her label known as “Mercy Empire.”
