The BRIT Awards (BRITs), which will be held in the UK in 2023, have nominated Nigerian Afrobeats superstars Burna Boy and Fireboy DML. There are more than 50 nominees for the 2023 Brit Awards, including established artists like Taylor Swift and Stormzy and up-and-comers like Central Cee and Mimi Webb.

Burna Boy has received three nominations for the annual British Phonographic Industry Music Awards. For his song “Peru,” featuring English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, Nigerian artist Fireboy DML was nominated in the “International Song of the Year.”

Along with Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, and Taylor Swift, Burna Boy, who has received three nominations for the prestigious accolade, is vying for the BRIT Awards 2023’s “International Artist of the Year” Award.
