Burna Boy Explains Similarities Shared With Wizkid And How They’re Different

Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, is a well-known Afrobeats performer, composer, and record producer who has claimed to share just two traits with Wizkid, a fellow Nigerian musician. While dismissing rumors that he competes with Wizkid, Burma Boy clarified this in a recent interview with American-Haitian hip-hop disc jockey DJ Whoo Kid.

During the interview, the 31-year-old Grammy Award winner stated there is no rivalry between him and Wizkid, stating that they are two separate artists. He stated that although they are from the same nation and love one another, their songs are distinct. The “Last Last” crooner said that they sing about various subjects, asserting that whereas Wizkid’s music focuses entirely on ladies, he sings more about real-life events and women sometimes. At least he was honest.

Despite all the efforts of the fans to keep things tense between them, both stars continue to grow an even stronger bond and will always say proudly in interviews how they rock with each other, just like he did in this latest interview of his. Additionally, Burna had once stated how Wiz showed him love and believed in his sound when he still was on the come-up. So, it is safe to say those two are the new range brothers.
