Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” Becomes His Album With The Most Spotify Streams

Burna Boy’s album “Love, Damini” is now his most streamed one on Spotify. Burna Boy’s sixth studio album, “Love, Damini,” which was released on July 7, 2023, has achieved great success both domestically and abroad, largely thanks to the success of the lead track “Last Last.” Today, ‘Love, Damini’ has eclipsed Burna Boy’s 2019 album ‘African Giant’ to become the artist’s most streamed album on Spotify.

With the massive popularity of “Last Last,” which has amassed over 256 million streams, and “For Your Hand,” featuring Ed Sheeran, which has topped over 161 million streams, this feat was accomplished. ‘Its Plenty’ has received over 61 million streams, as well.

Burna Boy has released four albums in the past five years, beginning with his third album, “Outside,” in 2018. His third consecutive Grammy nomination came for the record, following nods for “Twice As Tall” (2020) and “African Giant” (2019). While ‘Love, Damini’ didn’t garner as much praise from critics as ‘African Giant’ and ‘Twice As Tall,’ it has received more praise from the general public thanks to the popularity of ‘Last Last’ on a global scale.

The album’s success has cemented Burna Boy’s status as a global music superstar, and “Love, Damini” is yet another example of his talent and skill as a musician. While Outsiders stew in that success, Burna has teased the idea of releasing new music. It can only be up from here for Odogwu.
