Mendes, 28, who is also Brazilian, captioned a seven-photo carousel that featured two images of Mancuso with the phrase “Life update.”
The first photo showed the unkempt dude playing with Mendes’ Maltipoo named Truffle while sitting on the floor at the front door. The second picture was a selfie of the ostensible couple captured in a sliding glass door’s reflection. Mancuso, a former Vine celebrity who founded the YouTube series “Awkward Puppets,” and Mendes were pictured kissing and cuddling while wearing beach suits.
Fans of the “Riverdale” actor are jubilant about the rumored relationship even though the actor didn’t tag the online celebrity or even have his face visible in the photos. In the social media world, a “soft launch” refers to the first time a significant other is featured on their potential love interest’s page, and the person manning Instagram’s Instagram page commented on the picture, “Love a soft launch,” a sentiment that was also expressed by “Batwoman” star Nicole Kang, who wrote, “Not the soft launch.”
Mendes also shared some photos with her close friend Rachel Matthews, a BeReal selfie, the Season 7 costume inspiration for her “Riverdale” character Veronica Lodge, and a picture taken on the set of the show.
