It’s just days to July 8, and expectations are building for fans of the Nigerian singer Burna Boy. On that day, he’d be releasing a new body of work titled “Love, Damini.” The tracklist for the project is already out, though.
The songster himself shared the project’s tracklist in an Instagram post. A look at the tracklist shows that Damini isn’t here to play. You have some of the finest names in the music universe on the project, from Jamaica to the United States to South Africa.
Among those who made the cut are the South African man band Ladysmith Black Mambazo, J Hus, Ed Sheeran, Kehlani, Khalid, Blxst, Victony, J Balvin, and the Jamaican dancehall ace Popcaan. You can check out the complete tracklist below.
Burna Boy had a storm of negative publicity recently when it was reported that some of the police officers attached to him shot at some clubgoers at Cubana following an altercation. The incident led many to call for the cancellation of the musician.
From the look of things, the call didn’t fly, and Burna Boy himself appears ready to completely cancel the call to cancel. At least, with the promise of a new album in the coming days has changed the narrative from assault to music.
