It’s not unexpected to see Oxlade and Chike collaborate as they have enjoyed many successful years of musical dominance in the Nigerian music scene. To name a few, Oxlade’s “Ku Lo Sa” and Chike’s “Hossana,” produced by Mastercraft, are songs that have performed well in the music industry and have kept the fantastic vocalists very relevant in terms of charming music and melody.
The “Eclipse” EP by Oxlade featured popular songs like “More” and “Ojuju,” which have been praised highly by music fans and critics, while Chike’s most recent album, “Brother’s Keeper,” is nothing short of amazing.
Chike, who recently released his sophomore album “The Brother Keeper,” keeps up his impressive performance as he performs the remix of the mellow song “Spell.” One of Afrobeat’s vocal dexterity kings, Oxlade, joins the remix. The Superstar blesses the song with the verse many will come to say it inexplicably missed. The third track on the album “The Brother’s Keeper” was “Spell,” produced by Deeyasso, a regular collaborator of Chike’s. Along with Oxlade joining the song, Pink also created a suitable music video to go with it.
The Duo has started the year with this feature collaboration, and it will be interesting to see what other body of work/projects they will be sharing with their fans as the year progresses.
