Chlöe Bailey Reacts Amid Reported Low Album Sales; “Concentrated” On Tour

Following her album’s dismal sales, Chlöe Bailey is speaking out. According to reports, the singer’s debut album, In Pieces, failed to chart in the top 100. It only sold 10,000 units, and according to Chart Data, it debuted at No. 119 on the Billboard 200. However, Chloe x Halle’s second album, Ungodly Hour, performed far better than their debut, The Kids Are Alright, which peaked at #139.

Fans expressed their shock, and some pointed out that Chlöe had worked hard to promote the record with numerous television, radio, and magazine appearances.

Amid the sales claims, Chlöe appeared to respond to the rumors and thank those who had supported her on Twitter. On the morning of April 10, Chloe—who also stars in the wildly popular new Amazon series Swarm—took to Twitter to express her gratitude to the album’s listeners.

She tweeted,

“in pieces was about letting go & trusting myself. i’ve enjoyed every moment of it and i love everyone who listened to it. tour starts tomorrow in chicago and im so ready to perform these songs for yall ❤️‍🔥.”

The live-action adaptation of the famous and eagerly awaited The Little Mermaid film features Chloe’s younger sister Halle Bailey. Currently, Chlöe is concentrating on her upcoming “In Pieces Tour,” which kicks off in Chicago.

“I wanted this album to signify and represent heartbreak in every way,” Chlöe told her fans earlier. “The body of work sounds like a project that I’ve always wanted my first project to sound like in my head.” Chris Brown, Missy Elliott, and Future make guest appearances on her ‘In Pieces” album released on March 31 under Parkwood/Columbia.
