Chris Brown Claims That Diddy Rejected Signing Him To Bad Boy Records

Even though Chris Brown has become one of the most popular R&B artists of the century, not everyone first saw his potential. The 33-year-old celebrity revealed in a recent interview with Drink Champs how Diddy rejected him from Bad Boy when he was considerably younger. “The funniest part – a lot of people don’t really know this- but Diddy turned me down,” disclosed Brown.

Inquiring as to whether the Virginian had also performed for Diddy, N.O.R.E. was ready to chat about it.  “If you danced, he definitely would’ve signed you,” N.O.R.E. joked.

“It’s love now. That’s family, that’s my brother now,” Breezy explained. “Im’a keep it 100. So I was like 12, at this time. This was before I linked to Def Jam. It was me and one of my production managers’ son named TJ; he’s my brother to this day. Me and him were like a group.”

N.O.R.E. questioned the name of the group, to which Brown replied, “We didn’t have no name.” Everyone laughed when N.O.R.E. joked, “This is why he didn’t sign y’all.” Diddy and Brown have worked together on tracks like 2011’s “Yesterday” since the initial shutdown, and they were both photographed last year hanging out with Busta Rhymes and Bryson Tiller.
