Chris Brown Reacts To Rumors Of A Fight At The “Lovers And Friends” Festival

According to rumors circulating all weekend, Chris Brown has reportedly been involved in multiple altercations. According to an allegation made by Hollywood Unlocked, the “Run It” singer allegedly got into a confrontation with Usher on Friday night (May 5) at his birthday celebration. However, it was said that during their respective time slots the next day, the two performers could be spotted taking the stage at Usher’s Lovers & Friends Festival.

The second alleged incident occurred when a video of an altercation backstage during Missy Elliott’s performance at the festival surfaced. After videos showed Brown getting entangled in the crowd, he decided to clarify the situation by posting a message underneath an Instagram post about the altercation.

“Y’all been geeked all weekend. Y’all dragging it now,” he wrote.

The Virginia artist continued to elaborate on the incident, making it clear that his primary concern was the safety of his child. Even though Brown was the subject of many conversations that weren’t about music during the weekend, festivalgoers claimed to have loved his performance. The seasoned R&B artist released his most recent album, Breezy, in 2022.

His 10th studio LP, the 24-song collection, featured Blxst, Bryson Tiller, Ella Mai, EST Gee, Fivio Foreign, H.E.R., Lil Wayne, and others on guest vocals. With 72,000 first-week album-equivalent unit sales, Breezy debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
