When Chinese entrepreneur Stephen Hung revealed yesterday via his official Instagram story that Davido will perform at the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the internet erupted in jubilation.
He insisted that the singer had given his word to close the World Cup ceremony. Stephen Hung said, with delight, that he could not wait to see him.

This follows a fan-organized concert tagged “The 30BG Concert,” which had hundreds of Davido fans trooping out to show the mourning singer all the love and light they could give. The event was applauded by industry figures like the rapper M.I., who, on his Twitter, commended the show, appreciating the pureness of the love his fans displayed. In addition, some big names came through for the show—the likes of Zlatan, Bella Shmurda, Mayorkun, B-Red, and a host of others.

It’s indeed a lovely thing to see that the musician is finally starting to get the wheels of his career rolling again after he suffered a great loss.
