Davido Dismisses Chioma’s Alleged Pregnancy
David Adeleke, better known as Davido, the ace Afrobeats artist and record label owner, has denied reports that his wife, Chioma, is expecting a child. After a blogger revealed that the famous chef is pregnant and will soon become a mother, the ‘Electricity’ singer denied the rumor.
On Monday, GossipMillTV posted a video on Instagram claiming that Chioma was expecting another kid with the musician, although the footage was old. In response to the announcement of his wife’s pregnancy, Davido, in the comment section, called out the blogger for misleading the public and demanded that the video be removed. He went on to request that the blog respect her privacy.
“Old video delete n respect my wife’s privacy. Thank you,” he wrote.
The blog also removed the post immediately following Davido’s reply. Davido and his wife, Chioma, were devastated in 2022 after the death of their only child, Ifeanyi, in a house accident. Ifeanyi died after drowning in a swimming pool at the singer’s home in Lagos State’s Banana Island axis.
Attempts to resuscitate the three-year-old after he was dragged from the pool were useless, as he was declared dead by doctors after being rushed to a local hospital. Meanwhile, in a recent interview with vlogger Tayo Aina, Davido described how he met Chioma for the first time, adding that it was while they were both studying at Babcock University and that it was love at first sight for him.
