At the press conference for the event, the singer discussed the arrangements for the occasion and other exciting things to look forward to. On Sunday, April 23, 2023, the artist is scheduled to perform his ‘Timeless’ album for the first time in the homeland at the 50,000-capacity Tafawa Balewa Square Lagos.

During the upcoming show’s press conference, a reporter asked the artist why he didn’t include unique/personal content in his new album, diverting attention from his primary subject, the upcoming show. In response to the query, Davido stated that he has always been the one to maintain the joy and enjoyment in his music and that this was the attitude he brought to the ‘Timeless’ album. He stated:

There’s emotion but not too much emotion in the album. If you listen to Davido’s music over the years, I have always been a happy person whether I was going through something or not.

That side of my life, if I want to talk about it, there’s time for that but on this album that’s not what I was going for.
