Davido Shares His First Social Media Post Following A Tragic Absence
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better recognized by his stage name, Davido, has returned to social media at long last.
Months ago, the singer suffered a damaging loss with the demise of his child and only son with professional star chef, Chioma. Since the untimely and unfortunate passing of his son, Davido has totally been off the grid. He has not been making any posts or engaging with any. He was mourning his son which everyone understood as many including some of his colleagues in the music business sent love his way while wishing him strength to process his grief.
In time for his performance at the recently-concluded World Cup in Qatar, the musician made a rather stunning comeback to social media. He uploaded photos of himself and his partner, Chef Chi, shortly before he made his way to the stage for his performance. In the photos, the pair were standing together as Chi helped her man get set for his show. By posting those photos, Davido broke a record as the first Nigerian celebrity to rake in over a million likes on a single post.
Though such a huge loss may take an entire lifetime to get over, it is certainly beautiful to see OBO finally getting into recovery mode and engaging again with the outside world. Feed your eyes with the slides below.
