Davido Sings At The World Cup’s Closing Ceremony

The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar’s closing ceremony featured an electrifying performance by afrobeats sensation Davido. Co-stars AISHA and Trinidad Cardona joined Davido at the venerable Lusail stadium for the official World Cup song Heyya Heyya performance. The globe is anticipating the tournament’s final after a month of action, and the Nigerian music star delighted fans.

Davido sang his part as the son in pictures and videos posted on social media while dressed entirely in silvery-shining attire. Davido had been announced to perform at the closing ceremony a while before, though things were shaky on his end because he had lost his child and only son in a domestic mishap. But fans of the musician worldwide were giddy to receive the news.

Davido had arrived in Qatar and alighted his jet covered in a blanket with his son’s face all over it, still paying homage to the late child. During this period, he also met up with Ghana’s Dancehall icon Stonebwoy, who was billed to perform at a fan festival after the closing ceremony for the World Cup. And just before his performance, he shared slides of images of himself and his wife, who was helping him get prepped for his highly anticipated performance.
