Diddy Has Displaced Kanye West As Hip-Hop’s Billionaire

Kanye West has been displaced by Diddy on the list of the richest hip-hop musicians in 2022.

With a net worth of $1.5 billion, Jay-Z continues to hold the title of being the richest hip-hop artist in North America, according to a new research from former Forbes editor Zack O’Malley. Ye was formerly ranked second on the list of hip-best hop’s earners with $250 million projected revenues for 2021, but since his contract with Adidas was abruptly terminated due to his anti-Semitic remarks, he has fallen to third in terms of net worth.

At one time this year, he reportedly had a $2 billion net worth. After formerly being in second place behind Ye, Diddy now holds the position. With a $1 billion net worth, Diddy is hip-hop’s third billionaire. Although his Cîroc collaboration with Diageo is thought to be the main source of his riches, other businesses like Revolt and DeLeón Tequila have undoubtedly contributed to his $90 million income in 2017.

Ye’s net worth is currently believed to be $500 million, and the loss of his Adidas contract has had the most impact on his slide. Due to the “White Lives Matter” t-shirt incident, Diddy and Ye really swapped insults earlier this month on Instagram. Ye is still wealthy thanks to his 5% ownership in Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS shapewear line, as well as his master recording and music publishing rights.
