Rap god Eminem seems sure that Kendrick Lamar is one of the top-tier lyricists of all time and isn’t shy to say so.
Ahead of his performance at the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show on Sunday, Eminem said he thinks Kendrick Lamar is a “top-tier lyricist”. Lamar will also be hitting the stage for the big show.
Eminem went ahead to say that he thinks Kendrick is one of the best to do it not only among his “generation but of all time.” Eminem commented while having a convo with Sway Calloway on SiriusXM’s Shade 45.
Somewhere along the chat, Em admitted to feeling nervous about Sunday’s performance.
“It’s fucking nerve-racking. This is like to me, there’s nothing more final than live TV. You know what I’m saying? So, if you fuck up, your fuck up is there forever.” In addition to Em and Kendrick, the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show will have appearances from big names like Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige on the 13th of February. Eminem also opened up about Dr Dre’s vision for the show.
“When Dre first asked, when the whole thing started going down and we were like, ‘ok, this might be serious.’ I was trying to envision what Dre might do,” Em said.
