After the Barbadian singer’s memorable Super Bowl halftime show, the 52-year-old Oscar nominee took to social media to address the widely circulated 2015 images shot during an NBA game.

In the images in question, Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke, then 13 years old and now 21 years old, could be seen sitting courtside with Hawke. Additional pictures showed that Hawke had switched places with his son so that he could sit next to Rihanna, who had originally been seated next to Levon. The images have been the subject of online jokes for a while, including one that Hawke’s Stranger Things actor daughter Maya Hawke, 24, posted to her Instagram page on Father’s Day last year.

Now Hawke himself has joined in, posting the images to Instagram in honor of the 34-year-old Umbrella singer for her electrifying 12-minute halftime performance, which she gave while carrying her second child.

“After Rihanna’s brilliant halftime performance, I’m hoping my son can find it in his heart to forgive a Dad for taking his moment,” Hawke wrote.

Meanwhile, While performing at the Super Bowl, Rihanna quietly announced her second pregnancy while wearing an obvious baby bulge and subtly holding her tummy.

The billionaire, who only nine months prior had given birth to a kid with rapper A$AP Rocky, soon after the concert via her representatives.

The music legend gave a fantastic halftime performance in Arizona, and it has now come to light that she received no compensation for the performance, which was seen by little under 100 million spectators.

But according to Rihanna, her soon-to-be one-year-old baby was the inspiration behind her choice to perform this year.

She stated: “It is important for me to do it this year, it is important for representation, it is important for my son to see that,” during a press conference with Apple Music.
