One member of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever cast found time to honor a legend while being busy promoting their next movie. Fans are ecstatic at Lupita Nyong’o’s unanticipated homage to El Divo de Juárez, who died on November 9th, in a short clip of her lip-syncing Juan Gabriel’s “Me Gusta Estar Contigo,” which she posted on Nov. 9.
“Mexico! Here I’m here!” The Kenyan-Mexican actress stated in an Instagram post, “[Here’s] a song for you!” She is shown in the video mouthing the lyrics to the timeless ballad while wearing a robe and dazzling golden and gray eye makeup.
Online users also seized the chance to remind other users that Nyong’o was born in Mexico and speaks Spanish fluently. On November 11, the eagerly-awaited Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, starring Nyong’o, will be released in theaters. Meanwhile, the tracklist for Juan Gabriel’s next Los Do 3 album was recently made public by his estate, continuing his legacy.
Collaborations with Danna Paola, Mon Laferte, and Gloria Trevi, to name a few, are included on the album. On October 27, the estate and former RBD member Anah jointly released the third song from the album, “Déjame Vivir,” which also signaled Anah’s comeback to the music industry.
