For The First Time, Hailey Bieber Discusses Whether She “Stole” Justin Bieber From Selena Gomez
Hailey Bieber will confront the long-running accusation that she stole Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez once and for all — “one time and one time only.”
The 25-year-old model is scheduled to participate on the Call Her Daddy podcast, and in a teaser video that was uploaded on Tuesday — one day before the program is released on Spotify — presenter Alex Cooper directly asks Hailey if her relationship with the Biebs ever intersected with what he had with Gomez.
“Your husband was in a very public relationship. People were obsessed with [Justin and Selena] being together. Were you ever with Justin romantically at the same time as her?” Cooper asks in a rather point-blank fashion.
Hailey answered, “This is so crazy. I’ve literally never talked about this ever. A lot of the hate and perpetuation comes from like, ‘Oh, you stole him.’ It’s about people knowing the truth, because there’s a truth.”
Cooper asks Hailey in the 55-second preview, “How has being married to someone with that level of fame impacted your identity?” The clip also features Beliebers at the 2021 Met Gala with a hysterical throng yelling “Se-le-na! Se-le-na!” Hailey grinned at the query and asked rhetorically, “Where do I start?”
Fans have already begun to speculate that Hailey’s Call Her Daddy interview is an effort at damage control, given that the podcast interview comes one week after Gomez released the trailer for her “My Mind & Me” documentary, a six-year-long endeavor that will be available to watch on AppleTV+ on November 4.
