For The Third “Magic Mike” Film, Channing Tatum Is Making A Comeback

He’s back again! In addition to confirming his participation in the third Magic Mike film, Channing Tatum also provided some information regarding the franchise’s most recent entry. The 41-year-old actor tweeted a picture of the opening page of the script to announce the release date of Magic Mike’s Last Dance in November 2021.

Tatum captioned the photo, “Well world, looks like Mike Lane’s tapping back in.” Reid Carolin, who also wrote Magic Mike XXL (2015) and the original in 2012, wrote Magic Mike’s Last Dance. The first but not the second movie’s director, Steven Soderbergh, is back for the third installment.

Tatum also mentioned HBO Max, the streaming channel where the film would make its debut. The date of release is still unset The movies center on Tatum’s stripper character Mike Lane, who is partially based on the actor’s brief period as a performer prior to finding success in Hollywood.

“There are no words for how excited I am to blow the doors off of the world of Magic Mike with Steven, Greg, Reid, and the amazing people at HBO Max. The stripperverse will never be the same,” said Tatum in a statement.

HBO Max will introduce some new Magic Mikes to viewers, despite no casting information being available. Before the stripper franchise evolved into a new medium: reality TV, the third movie was announced. Finding Magic Mike centers on 10 men who, in the words of HBO Max, “lost their magic” and are attempting to regain their confidence by mastering the Magic Mike movements.
