Future Is Honored By The RIAA With A Plaque Commemorating 95 Million Certified Units

The Recording Industry Association of America presented Future with a plaque in recognition of his career milestone of 95 million units certified. Nine albums and 68 tracks by the Atlanta rapper have received gold or platinum certification.

At Soho House Miami Beach earlier this week, RIAA COO Michele Ballantyne gave the plaque to Future. Sylvia Rhone, the chairwoman and CEO of Epic Records, Ezekiel Lewis, EVP and director of A&R for Epic, and Rick Sackheim, EVP and GM for Epic, were also in attendance.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate that Future now has 95 million RIAA certified units spanning 9 albums and 68 separate singles!” said Ballantyne. “He’s in an elite group—very few artists have achieved this level of success in the history of our nearly 65 year old program. Congratulations to Future and his incredible Epic Records and Freebandz teams!”

Future made history earlier this year when he released I Never Liked You, becoming just the fifth artist to have their debut at the top of both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts. The album’s “Wait For U” track, featuring Drake, has achieved platinum status. The previous Saturday, Future headlined Rolling Loud and invited Travis Scott to play.
