Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are already savoring their memories of Union’s 50th birthday party. In honor of Union’s special day, the two have been exploring Africa. On November 2, she posted a video to her Instagram account showing a glimpse of their travels.

“Ghana owes us nothing, but gave us EVERYTHING! @kaaviajames felt right at home WadeWorldTour2022,” wrote Union in the post’s caption.

According to Ghana Web, the family travelled on October 31 from Zanzibar, Tanzania, to Accra, Ghana. Wade was given the honorary Ghanian name Kwesi Sarfo, and Union was given the name Akosua Safo. On October 29, Union’s actual 50th birthday, she had a surprise birthday bash in Tanzania.

“I’m still processing the level of effort and planning that went into pulling off such an unbelievable 50th birthday party in Zanzibar Tanzania and keep the details a surprise from my nosy self,” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post.

For their trip to Ghana, Union and Wade also brought Kaavia, their 3-year-old daughter. Wade is the father of five children: Kaavia, whom he shares with Union, an adopted nephew, and children from previous relationships with Siohvaughn Funches and Aja Metoyer.

The couple frequently posts adorable pictures of Kaavia online. In early October, in honor of Halle Bailey’s portrayal of the title character, Union shared a picture of their daughter dressed as “Little Mermaid.”
