Grandson Of Bob Marley Passes Away From Asthma At Age 31

Reggae musician Joseph Mersa-Marley, a Jamaican-American, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 31. According to the streaming service TIDAL, the musician was discovered unconscious in a car in the US on Tuesday. According to the Florida radio station WZPP, the musician, who went by the stage name Jo Mersa, reportedly battled asthma his entire life and passed away as a result of an asthma attack, according to the Daily Mail. He was the son of Stephen Marley and the grandson of legendary reggae musician Bob Marley.

Bob, who tragically passed away from cancer in 1981 at the age of 36, is regarded as one of the fathers of reggae music. The late celebrity fathered 11 kids with seven different women. He published the Comfortable EP in 2014; then, in 2021, he released Eternal. In addition, a new film about Bob Marley is now in production. In the film, which will be directed by King Richard filmmaker Reinaldo Marcus Green and produced by Rita, her son Ziggy, and daughter Cedella Marley, the renowned singer will be portrayed by Kingsley Ben-Adir.

Lynch’s inclusion in the movie is claimed to have received the approval of Rita and the Marleys. In a forthcoming biography, Lashana Lynch will play Bob Marley’s wife.
