India Arie Shares Clips Of Joe Rogan Using The N-Word And Calling Black People “Apes”
Grammy Award-winning singer, India Arie, has put out clips that captures Joe Rogan using the N-word and cussing out blacks to be “apes”.
She recently shared that she would be pulling down her music from Spotify owing to her feelings regarding the platform’s partnership with Joe Rogan and now, India Arie has even more to share about her decision.
In solidarity, several artists have also come forward this week with statements about The Joe Rogan Experience and their grievances with the podcast pushing out misinformation on COVID-19 and the vaccines.
Artists like Neil Young and Joni Mitchell have sparked a fire with a protest of sorts against Spotify, and Arie is now adding her name to the list but not because of COVID.
The Neo-soul singer stated that Rogan’s comments about race have disturbed her, therefore resulting in her deciding to take drastic steps.
Arie bounced back to not only double down on her stance but to share several clips of Rogan on his podcast referring to black neighborhoods as “Planet of the Apes”, carelessly saying “n*gger” on-air in several episodes!
“He shouldn’t even be uttering the word. Don’t even say it, under any context. Don’t say it. That’s where I stand. I have always stood there,” the singer explained.
