Indigo Girls Ready To Dazzle Fans With Expansive Summer Tour

This summer, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, better known as the legendary Indigo Girls, are set to inspire fans with a 7-piece full band experience tour. The Grammy-winning duo, known for their unique blend of folk and rock, will be accompanied by an impressive ensemble including Lyris Hung on violin, Brady Blade on drums, Jeff Fielder on guitar, Clare Kenny on bass, and Carol Isaacs playing the keys. They are ready to set stages ablaze starting from the Northeast in June, with a line-up of dates running through to July 7.

Adding even more flavor to the tour, the Indigo Girls will be joined by a fantastic line-up of supporting acts. Georgia-based Kevn Kinney, renowned for his association with Drivn’ N Cryin’, as well as Larkin Poe, Garrison Starr, Aaron Lee Tasjan, and Neko Case will be featuring in the tour.

While fans can expect to hear songs from their recent album, Look Long, the tour is also garnering attention for the duo’s documentary, It’s Only Life After All. The film enjoyed its premier on the opening night of the Sundance Film Festival and has since been showcased at a number of top film festivals including SXSW and Tribeca Festival.

For over 25 years, Saliers and Ray have been delivering heartfelt music, making them one of the most respected duos in the industry. From their humble beginnings in Atlanta to selling over 15 million records worldwide, the Indigo Girls have released 16 studio albums, earning seven gold, four platinum, and one double platinum certifications along the way. Look Long, their latest offering, provides a nostalgic glimpse into their early days, all backed by their strongest band line-up yet.

Songs such as “When We Were Writers” capture the electrifying essence of their early performances, while “Shit Kickin’” offers a heartfelt tribute to Ray’s Southern roots. The album, recorded in the serene countryside of Bath, England at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, resonates with a nostalgic yet lively vibe.

Saliers says about their journey, “Our audience has diversified and grown over the years, which fills me with immense joy. Age is inconsequential in the face of music, we’re still that bar band at heart. We remain inspired by emerging artists and although our writing style evolves, our love for music is as fervent as it was at 25.” This summer, get ready to experience the magic of the Indigo Girls like never before.
