Jennifer Lopez’s Social Media Accounts Strangely Go Dark

Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, and Twitter accounts of the actress, producer, and best-selling performing artist have all abruptly turned black in their featured or cover photographs. The Hustlers and Marry Me actress, whose representatives were unavailable for comment, is rumored to be close to unveiling a new project, according to sources.

While all of Lopez’s posts on Instagram were gone, there was still a record of them on Facebook, Tik Tok, and Twitter. Nearly 347 million people follow Lopez on all four social media platforms, with the majority of them doing so on Instagram. With an increased focus on projects that support various female actors, writers, and filmmakers, Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions signed a multi-year first-look agreement with Netflix in June 2021.

The agreement covers feature films, TV series, and unscripted content. Together with her producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Lopez co-runs Nuyorican Productions. Hustlers, a 2019 STX stripper caper that debuted to $33.1 million and went on to gross $105 million domestically and $157.6 million internationally, gave Jennifer Lopez her biggest domestic opening for a live-action film.

In her career as a recording artist, Lopez has sold over 70 million albums, with J.Lo becoming her top-selling album with 3.8 million domestic and 12 million international sales. In May, her Niki Caro-directed suspenseful Netflix film The Mother will make its premiere. On January 27, her romance comedy Shotgun Wedding starring Josh Duhamel will be available on Prime Video.
