Jessie Ware Embraces Liberation & Freedom With Fifth Album “That! Feels Good!”
Jessie Ware, a British singer-songwriter, has released her highly anticipated fifth album, That! Feels Good!, via Interscope Records. Hit singles “Free Yourself,” “Pearls,” and “Begin Again” from the album have gained critical acclaim.
As Jessie Ware lets go of her concerns and uncertainties, the album represents a sense of emancipation and independence. The success of her last album, What’s Your Pleasure?, and live performances at the British Fashion Awards, Glastonbury, Primavera, and backing Harry Styles, influenced the composition of this record.
“I knew exactly what kind of album I wanted to make and with whom I wanted to make it.” “I’ve set aside years of anxiety, imposter syndrome, and all that worrying about not being good enough,” Jessie Ware said of the album.
“That! Feels Good!” is the album’s opening tune, and it incorporates spoken-word performances from pop star Kylie Minogue, comedian Aisling Bea, producer Benny Blanco, and Jessie Ware’s mother Lennie. The single’s relentless bassline sets the tone for the entire album.
Other songs on the album, such as “Free Yourself,” “Pearls,” “Begin Again,” “Beautiful People,” and “Freak Me Now,” demonstrate Jessie’s flexibility as a musician by skillfully fusing various decades of party music into one album.
Jessie Ware is about to embark on her That! Feels Good! tour. Fans can watch her outstanding performance skills in person during her live tour in October and November 2023.
