Kanye West Bags New Deal With Mcdonald’s; To Redesign Food Giant’s Packaging

Grammy-award winning rapper and gospel artist, Kanye West has taken to Instagram to announce a new partnership with fast food outlet McDonald’s. The rapper, returning to Instagram after two months’ suspension, announced that he is partnering with minimalist Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa to redesign the packaging for the fast-food giant.

Without providing further details as to the size and length of the partnership, Kanye West captioned the post in a standard announcement style. “Ye teams up with legendary Muji industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to reimagine McDonald’s packaging,” the caption read.Kanye West Bags New Deal With Mcdonald'S; To Redesign Food Giant'S Packaging, Yours Truly, News, April 24, 2024

There is no information yet as to when the redesign will launch, if it’s a permanent or limited edition change, or if there’s more to the collaboration between Kanye and the iconic fast-food chain.

With this new collaboration, Kanye West joins the list of artists, including Trevor Noah, Kim Kardashian, and Pete Davidson, who are in active business partnerships with McDonald’s.

In a related development, the recent announcement made via Kanye’s Instagram account looks set to mark a second stint on the social media platform for the billionaire. Kanye was suspended for 24 hours in March following repeated abuses targeted at comedians Pete Davidson and Trevor Noah and his then-wife, Kim Kardashian.

The rapper subsequently rode on the suspension to wipe his Instagram page, steering clear of the social media platform for the past eight weeks.
