Last Thursday, February 17th, the Chicago rapper-producer hopped on his Instagram account to post a video of an SNL skit from 2008 in which Pete called Kanye out for his bizarre rant on an previously aired SNL episode where he announced his support for then-President Donald Trump.
In the clip, the comedian makes jokes about Ye going off his medication, revealing that even he is taking medicine for his own mental illness and that it wasn’t a big deal. At the end of his skit, he directed a message to Kanye. “Being mentally ill is not an excuse for acting like a jackass,” he said.
In the caption, Yeezy wrote, “This boy thought he could get away with performing this sketch for the team that wrote this for him. This is not harassment. This is payback.”
Kanye’s post was formerly followed by yet another entry showing an image of Pete wearing a MAGA-inspired red hat that reads, “Make Kanye 2006 Again.” The Donda 2 creator wrote in the caption, “HI SKETE YOU GOT ANYMORE MENTAL HEALTH JOKES FOR ME?”
